Why? Because I'm just excited that one of my favourite stores has moved to Chermside shopping center to make my life a little more easier to bear..and definitely would get me moving my big fat ass there....



Note: Apologies for the lack in updates, however as i'm trying to deal with studying again..its not easy.... *laughs*..getting old and fat..big fat spinster..will be soon my name..... *laughs*

Pink wish question: just HOW much can you do your bit for charity?

Background: The Pink wish is a foundation dedicated for breast cancer and the nurses.. Whenever I see a Pink wish product (i.e. see picture below) I'll always want to buy..and this leads to the 10kg and 2 sizes more that I've put on... just HOW much can I go??

as i called for an appointment 1 month ago......

as I stride nervously down a deserted corridor to find the location...

as I was escorted into the place of regrets...

as I was being "coerced" to ease.....


he asked if it was my first time.......

he asked if I had any history....

he asked me to lie down on a comfortable cushioned bed.....

he asked me to part my lips....

he asked me to relax and inserted a foreign object into my mouth....


i.... had... my ... FIRST TEETH XRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my goodness....i just booked for a general cleaning service as I have yet to been to the dentist since my studies... at 2004......

and you know how much the bill costs?????? take a guess???..its....

yes.... u didn't read wrongly,..... the detailed breakdown is:

1) Comp Oral Examination - $39.00

2) Removal of calculus - first visit - $75.50

3) Topical application of fluoride - $25.00

4) Intra p.a/b'wing radiography x 2 - $63.00
( he said it was compulsory that every 2 years, an xray had to be done to ensure that there's no decay happening )

my goodness.... its the MOST EXPENSIVE dentist visit i've EVER been... compared to the S$30.00 visit which i have at Ghim moh - Perfect Dental....... *shakes head*...

and.... the best part is that..i have to go back after 3 weeks..for a 2nd appointment!!!!!!! he said was due to a gum disease that i have..... *shocked*...cause in the last 24 YEARS of my life which I had regular dentist visits, i was NEVER told this @ all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he said its a long term thing.... *shakes head*

fortunately i have MBF... my saviour extras cover - which covered 70% of that bill... leaving me with A$60.75 to pay... though still expensive compared to my hometown..... its still a little better than that $202.50..

gosh..i'll still be on this for a while.... pardon me....

*laughs* I've officially completed one month of my graduate program over here....

my conclusion:

Surviving working life: 5/10

Adaptation of Culture: 2/10

Learning skills & work: 8/10

Self-enjoyment: 3/10.. (hopefully *cross fingers* will get better in time)

* i promise to update my blog more frequently as I have to finish off one last job which is a pain in the ***.....*

in conclusion: DD (Domestic Donkeys) are just jerks..!!!!!!! i'm generalizing but oh well, that's how i feel.....

my 1st DAY of truth...CONQUERED!

Yeah..for the past 7 months since 3 May 2006 when I got a call, I was still in a dazed to hear that I got an offer here @ Brisbane..Though confused and a bit excited, I decided to give myself more trust..and today.. i'm proud to say, that I'm an official employee of one of the accounting firms... and I'mm happy to start my first day orientating.... the firm's policies, code of conduct, etc.


still more to say..... but a bit tired.... prob cause didn't sleep enough the past few days... chat more soon..soo many things that have to be said..

i DECLARE......i HATE WOW!!!!!!

yah..... i think i hate it..or rather... i dislike it.... i never had an affinity with it.....its worse than asking me to pack....

dun know why.... wp and his friend..day and night WOW...not the DVD means the game..not the game, means talking about the CD.... i hate it..not because i'm jealous of it....or envious that it has so many followers..i hate it because its a waste of time........

yeah..it has strategies, and lessons to learn -> build network of friends (thru' the internet), blah blah blah...but it can ALMOST NEVER NEVER NEVER patch up real relationship time.....

Because i met up with one of my uni friends today!!!!! Anne-Gaelle!!! at the city....!!!!!

Realized that in 1/2 years' time, there isn't a lot of changes in the Brisbane city, but significant enough to intrigue my curiousity...

-> Brisbane Square -> New building that opened last December 2006...heard that its a government building...

-> FCUK is in town -> Yes, French Connection United Kingdom (the apparel store) is in Brisbane city as well!

-> Coles Central has opened a store in.... DAVID JONES building!!!!!!! *yummy! bigger store than the one @ Myers' Centre.

in my mind now..What i'm thinking:

-> 1 year subscription to Cosmopolitan and Cleo magazines @ $99/yr
-> Fitness first membership to gain back my last time motivation.....!!!!

Yeah, did this coverpix on my last day before I left for Brisbane... it was a promotion by Maybank that allows you to have a makeover free of charge, on Maybanks account with Coverlooks.

Deal is, you have to bring your own clothes, they provide a few shots, makeup and hairstyle for you.

Verdict given below:



Positive: Think i liked the makeup and the hairstyle, though a bit peranakan,i felt.

Negative: DID NOT like the service guy.. when he knew that i was not interested to buy pix, he was like:

guy: you're NOT even going to buy a 5R pix?
me: i'm still thinking of doing my grad portrait here.
guy: so, basicially you are not going to buy anything here? so i no need to show you so much.
me: yeah, at least you know now that you don't have to waste so much time on me.
*suddenly guy feels like he is in the wrong*

guy: erm, no lah. Ok, then u can collect your souvenir next week. (he then proceeds to give me the receipt and shoos me off)
me: oh well, think i made a better choice to do my portrait elsewhere!!!!

1st VISIT to Macademia Nut & Ginger Factory!!!!

Yeah..initiated by WP's friend: Seb, we went to the Ginger and Macademia factory for the very 1st time!!!!! Near Sunshine coast, drive's pretty long... oh well, courtesy of WP driving since his friend is here on a visit from SG, in transit to Melb..
