my goodness....i just booked for a general cleaning service as I have yet to been to the dentist since my studies... at 2004......

yes.... u didn't read wrongly,..... the detailed breakdown is:
1) Comp Oral Examination - $39.00
2) Removal of calculus - first visit - $75.50
3) Topical application of fluoride - $25.00
4) Intra p.a/b'wing radiography x 2 - $63.00
( he said it was compulsory that every 2 years, an xray had to be done to ensure that there's no decay happening )
my goodness.... its the MOST EXPENSIVE dentist visit i've EVER been... compared to the S$30.00 visit which i have at Ghim moh - Perfect Dental....... *shakes head*...
and.... the best part is that..i have to go back after 3 weeks..for a 2nd appointment!!!!!!! he said was due to a gum disease that i have..... *shocked*...cause in the last 24 YEARS of my life which I had regular dentist visits, i was NEVER told this @ all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he said its a long term thing.... *shakes head*
fortunately i have MBF... my saviour extras cover - which covered 70% of that bill... leaving me with A$60.75 to pay... though still expensive compared to my hometown..... its still a little better than that $202.50..
gosh..i'll still be on this for a while.... pardon me....
